Position Requirements:

• Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
• Med Surg Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2 years – Required
• Prior Travel experience – Highly preferred

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
• BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
• RN License for State of NV - Required
• BLS, ACLS Certifications from AHA - Required
• TNCC, NIHSS – Highly preferred

Job Description:

• Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in Med Surg units.
• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Med Surg as directed by nursing management.
• Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations.
• The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise.
• Being effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and Evaluation
• Safely and accurately administer medications
• Participate in patient and family teaching
• Records information concisely, accurately and completely.
• Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revises plan of care based on assessment.
